In line with the Arid Lands Environment Centre’s (ALEC) vision of ‘healthy futures for arid lands and people’ ALEC supports the rights of all people regardless of sexuality and gender to marry. Healthy communities are resilient, fair and inclusive and ALEC sees marriage equality as an important step forward in creating a more sustainable future.
ALEC would like to recognise the contribution of LGBTIQ identifying people to environmental movements and campaigns here in Central Australia and around the world.
Love is love, regardless of sexuality or gender and it should be celebrated in all its forms.
