Despite the Federal Government handing the fracking industry $8.4 million dollars to support gas industry development in the recent budget, and the first exploratory fracking wells in the Beetaloo Basin looking to go ahead in the next few months, it's important to remember that together we make a difference!

The NT Government is rushing through a range of regulations to enable exploratory fracking to begin in the next few months. A number of these will be open for public comment. These include:

• No Go Zones
• Compliance and Monitoring Strategy
• Carboon Offsets
• Company Environmental Management Plans

It's important community members are engaged in this process and make short submissions to these upcoming consultations.
