Water is our most precious resource and is essential to all life. However, there are numerous threats and challenges facing the protection of water in the Northern Territory.
Climate change, large-scale agriculture and extractive mines put the future of our water at risk, and the Territory's weak water laws are inadequate at responding to these threats.
We currently have an opportunity to influence the Territory Government's policies on water. They are seeking feedback on the development of a Strategic Water Plan to set the agenda on water management through to 2050.
Direct community response to key legislation and policy is one of the most effective ways we can hold the Government accountable.

- RSVP to the workshop with ALEC to learn about what to put in your submission and key points to help you write a great submission to protect Territory water.
- Write your submission and email it to [email protected] by the deadline, Friday 4 February 2021.
