The EcoFair is Alice Spring’s own science and sustainability festival, taking place August 7-9. We are seeking enthusiastic humans who are willing to lend a hand as a volunteer to help make the festival happen.
You don’t need experience or special skills, we're just looking for reliable volunteers excited to be involved. There are a range of roles including:
- General helpers - whatever needs doing
- Event assistance – bump in and bump out, ushering
- Social distancing fairies – roam the festival with a 1.5m wand
- Parking patrol – directing people into sensible car spots
Volunteer shifts are limited to 2 hours, so you will still be able to enjoy the festival.
The EcoFair is in its 12th year and volunteers are invaluable to bringing this much-loved event to the community. For contributing to the festival, EcoFair volunteers receive:
- A National Science Week t-shirt
- A volunteer thank you dinner held Friday, August 13
- The warm inner glow of supporting your community and a sustainable future in central Australia
