ALEC is planning to run a series of workshops over the coming months. It is our hope that through building capacity and direction with our supporters that together we can grow to be a stronger community, ready to take on the challenging issues facing these arid lands.
This will take many conversations. Conversations with people we meet at community events and conversations over the phone with supporters. We know that emails and social media are no longer cutting through and that face to face contact is essential in bringing about change.
The first training at 5.30pm Thursday 17th May will be focusing on how we can have persuasive conversations with people that move them to action. I'm sure we all know people who take that little extra push to take get on board. There are some really useful frameworks and approaches that have tried and tested results in successfully moving people to action. Come along to learn and practice alongside other concerned Alice Springs residents. RSVP here
