Community & Science on display at World Environment Day

Better Together Exhibition

100 Alice Springs community members braved the cold on a Tuesday night to celebrate World Environment Day at the Better Together Exhibition at Watch This Space.

The artworks spoke to the theme of celebrating our communal efforts to protect our environment, and were thoughtful and vibrant.

The artworks are still on display at Watch This Space for the next few days and if you didn't make it but still would like to support the fundraiser by buying an artwork please view the artworks and descriptions here

Email wts@wts.org.au with your choice of artwork and you will be invoiced. Some great pieces are left!

Battery Energy Storage System Tours

38 Alice Springs community members participated in a tour of the new 5 MW Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) installed by Territory Generation.

Participants heard from Territory Generation engineers on how the battery works and what role it will play in managing the peaks and troughs of solar energy caused from cloud coverage.

This event was sponsored by Inspiring Australia in conjunction with Territory Generation, Repower Alice Springs and the Arid Lands Environment Centre.
