Westside is Mparntwe's newest community garden located at 56 Milner Road in Gillen. We recently celebrated our 1st birthday and are getting ready to open the garden gates to new members!
Our vision is the creation of a culturally safe and sustainable arid lands garden that nurtures the development of a local food secure community. Membership is open to all people in the Central Desert region who share this vision and want to actively contribute to it.
We are an inclusive, diverse and participatory community. All garden members are expected to participate in growing the garden and its culture, and there are many opportunitiesto do so, depending on interests and capabilities.
