Werte! It is with mixed feelings that I am leaving Alice Springs, Mparntwe. I've been blessed to call this place my home for 13 years and my children were born here. I started working with ALEC in 2016 after finishing my Masters in waste management, and have really enjoyed working in such a creative and fun team to help support energy efficiency and waste reduction in the Arid Lands.

There are so many exciting changes afoot, with the Alice Springs Town Council showing leadership with a food organics trial, and banning single-use plastics from all Council-run and Council-supported events. It's also been a privilege working with organisations endeavouring to manage their waste as efficiently as possible, such as the Alice Springs Show and the Alice Springs Hospital.
