Senate inquiry into Beetaloo Basin fracking

The Federal Government is giving $50 million in handouts to gas companies to frack the Beetaloo Basin. In the midst of a climate crisis. Without First Nations’ consent.

A parliamentary inquiry has been established to shine a light on Government handouts to gas companies to frack the Beetaloo, and the environmental and social impacts.

This is a huge win for Traditional Owners and Territorians who are calling to protect country and stop public money flowing to fossil fuel companies.

Join the webinar to learn about the Inquiry, what it means and how you can get involved at this critical juncture.

Leading the discussion will be Senator Lidia Thorpe and Senator Larissa Waters, key figures in establishing this Inquiry.

You'll also hear from Alex Vaughan, ALEC Policy Officer, and the discussion will be hosted by ALEC's new General Manager Jade Kudrenko.
