All We Want For XMAS Is A Fracking Ban!

On Saturday 17th November CAFFA and ALEC hosted a gathering to come together as a community to plan for how we might work together to protect the NT from fracking. An overwhelming sense of solidarity and energy to continue fighting was encouraging and sends a strong signal to the NT government that we will not stop until fracking is banned.

Importantly this meeting realised that we each have something to contribute to this campaign. Several working groups were established that focus on specific areas.

-          Political Lobbying

-          Regulatory Reform

-          Creative Activism

-          Corporate Campaigning- How do we stop Origin Energy?

-          Community Engagement

If you would like to be involved in any of these working groups please contact Jesse Hancock at CAFFA will not be holding any further regular fortnightly meetings this year, but will send out notice when things kick off after Christmas. With the first lot of fracking on the horizon, 2019 is shaping up to be a huge year. We look forward to working with you to #banfracking in the NT and protect our water and climate.
