Friday June 5 is World Environment Day and our annual Buffel Bust is back.
Do something practical to celebrate the environment by joining us to help remove buffel grass, one of our desert region's most pesky introduced plants.
We will meet at the Olive Pink Botanic Gardens at 5:15 pm for a 5:30 pm departure down to the Todd River. For newcomers, we'll go through the best strategies for pulling up this weed before getting our collective Buffel Bust underway. We will wrap up at dusk around 6:15 pm. BYO gloves and drink bottle.
This event is hosted by the Arid Lands Environment Centre, Olive Pink Gardens and Alice Springs Landcare. More details on the Facebook event page.
