Thanks for becoming a member of ALEC

Members and supporters are at the heart of ALEC, as we collectively work towards protecting the arid lands and growing sustainable communities.

With fracking still an issue in 2020 and urgent climate action required, there are definitely challenges we face. However there is power in us working together, and we will continue to have a significant impact.

As a member you will receive our regular Thorny News E-mail newsletters, discounts at ALEC workshops and events and voting rights at the ALEC AGM. You are also welcome to apply to be part of the ALEC governance team by becoming a Board member.

Your membership is valid for 12 months, and we will send you a renewal reminder notice.

We know that many of our supporters report they are suffering from information overload and that their inbox is full of emails from many different causes. In this environment it is increasingly hard to reach through to people. If there is a way we can engage you better please let us know! Please email We always appreciate feedback, and hearing about the issues that concern you most.

We also need ongoing support fundraising. Key ALEC staffing positions are not funded and 2019 brings significant financial challenges for ALEC. If you can become a regular monthly giver please sign up here or if you have any fundraising ideas/initiatives please reach out. Recently an ALEC member held an art-sale and donated some of the proceeds to ALEC - every little bit helps.

If you would like to go on to our volunteer email list sign up here.

Thanks again for your support.
