40 Years of Action from the Heart: ALEC Retrospective

PUBLIC ANNOUNCEMENT: Due to the novel coronavirus Covid19 pandemic and the need for us to ensure physical distance to reduce the risk of transmission and impact of the virus, we have decided to postpone this event until a later date. Apologies for any inconvenience.

This June we’re celebrating 40 years since the of the Arid Lands Environment Centre (ALEC) was incorporated. To celebrate the 40 years of activism, conservation and community engagement we’re putting on a weekend to remember.

Join us on Friday the 12th of June as we look back at 40 years of activism in the arid lands. For one evening only we'll be bringing back ALEC's 'Curry and Quiz Night', and also holding an art auction.

Take a look at campaign memorabilia from four decades, and listen to personal recollections of key moments in ALEC's dynamic and multi-faceted history.  This is a night to reminisce, connect with community, and show off your ALEC trivia skills!

Where: Witchetty's, Araluen Arts Centre

When: 6-10pm, 12 June 2020

Cost: : $20, or $10 ALEC member
