Our new office at 2/73 Smith St, Ciccone houses the Arid Edge Environmental Services team and our new Alice Springs Future Grid Community Solutions team. Arid Edge is now set up with a workshop and office space that better suits their operational needs. And we welcome back Glenn Marshall (Program Manager) and Hayley Michener (Community Engagement Coordinator) for the exciting Alice Springs Future Grid.
We have also welcomed Sophie Elmouttie Blyth as our Business and Operations Manager and Alex Vaughan as ALEC’s Policy Officer. Sophie has hit the ground running in driving the move and improving our financial and operational systems. Alex has also gotten his teeth into the policy work with 2 submissions made in his first week out of quarantine.
We are also looking forward to welcoming Kaz Phillips who is joining us from Melbourne where she has been managing community gardens in social housing estates to come on as the Community Garden Network Coordinator leading on the development of the new community garden at Centralian Middle School.
We are also welcoming Ruby Marshall to our team who will be working as our Supporter Engagement and Volunteer Coordinator for the next few months who will pick up where Jasmine Story left off. Jasmine finished up with ALEC in late September after doing some great work in delivering a second EcoFair, coordinating our volunteers and supporting the frack free campaign.
