Waste Wise Excursion Guide Launch

ALEC has been coordinating the Waste Wise in Alice: An excursion guide to the Alice Springs Regional Waste Management Facility. The excursion guide has been developed for teachers to accompany a visit to the Regional Waste Management Facility and is targeting science and geography students from Year 4 through to Year 10. It forms part of the Education for Sustainability Central Australian Network.

Lord Mayor Damien Ryan is launching the excursion guide next Tuesday, 28th March at 4pm at the Rediscovery Centre (located at the Alice Springs Regional Waste Management Facility). Educators or people with an interest in waste management are very welcome to attend.

The excursion guide will be launched at 4pm, followed by a 20 minute bus tour of the waste management facility at 4.30pm. Participants are encouraged to RSVP for catering purposes and to ensure a spot on the bus.
