Volunteer for ALEC

ALEC values the work of our volunteers who help us with our vision of ‘healthy futures for arid lands and people’. We have a variety of volunteer positions so whether you’re interested in helping with community engagement, communications work, office admin, or selling food and making coffee, we would love to have you involved.

Volunteer doing community engagement
Do you like organising events and getting out in the community? Come work with our supporter engagement team to engage with volunteers and help organise and run ALEC events including our market stall!

Volunteer doing communications
Enjoy telling stories and creating content? Help out doing communications for ALEC, working on updating and improving the website, creating and finding new content and stories from volunteers, along with a variety of other communication tasks.

Volunteer in our office
Would you like to learn valuable administration skills? Come work in our office to do a variety of admin tasks and gain valuable admin skills.

Volunteer at the Community Gardens
Mparntwe has two community gardens, Eastside and Westside. If you're passionate about gardening, community projects or just getting to know like-minded people then come volunteer at one of the community gardens!
