Waste-Wise Excursion Guide Launch

ALEC has been coordinating the Waste Wise in Alice: An excursion guide to the Alice Springs Regional Waste Management Facility. The excursion guide has been developed for teachers to accompany a visit to the Regional Waste Management Facility and is targeting science and geography students from Year 4 through to Year 10. It forms part of the Education for Sustainability Central Australian Network.

Lord Mayor Damien Ryan launched the excursion guide on Tuesday, 28th March at 4pm at the Rediscovery Centre (located at the Alice Springs Regional Waste Management Facility) which was attended by local educators and people interested in waste management. It was followed by a 20 minute bus tour of the waste management facility.

The excursion guide will be sent to all local schools as an educational resource.
