Welcome to the new Coordinator
The Arid Lands Environment Centre would like to welcome Jimmy Cocking as the new ALEC Coordinator. We look forward to working with Jimmy, who brings energy and experience from years of campaigning on environmental and social justice issues in Victoria and abroad.

G'day,
My name's Jimmy Cocking and I'm excited about my new role as the ALEC Coordinator.I have recently moved to Alice from Melbourne where I have much experience in community organising with unions, environmental groups and social justice organisations. I am looking forward to the challenge of working in the arid environment for the Centralian community.
I am interested in what you have to say. I am interested in hearing your thoughts about the issues that concern you and discussing how ALEC may get involved. I am in the process of gathering information on issues including recycling, uranium mining, land management, biodiversity, sustainable living and community action.
